Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be competing against José Mourinho next season in Turkey, as he is on the verge of becoming the new Beşiktaş manager, ESPN reports. Solskjaer is in negotiations with the Turkish club and they are optimistic about a deal being agreed. The former Manchester United boss has been out of work since leaving Old Trafford in November 2021. Besiktas are looking for a new manager after Fernando Santos left in April. The Turkish club finished sixth in the Süper Lig, 46 points behind champions Galatasaray. They were last crowned champions of Turkey in 2021.
