    Zone 16 AIG Charges Officers To Implement IGP’s Directives

    The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Rivers and Bayelsa States, Abubakar Zubairu has charged officers and men of the two commands to align with and diligently implement the directives and policing vision of the Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu.

    The vision is aimed at enhancing professionalism, accountability, intelligence-led policing and effective service delivery.

    The AIG gave the charge during  continuation of his strategic engagement with the Rivers State Police Command, the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), honorary members of the mess and other critical stakeholders across the state.

    During the engagement, the AIG emphasized the importance of collaboration between the police, community leaders, security partners, and relevant stakeholders in promoting peace, security and public confidence in policing.

    He lectured them on garnishee order, social media policies of the Nigeria police force, supervision of officers and men.

    Zubairu noted that sustained partnership and community involvement remained essential to addressing security challenges and strengthening public trust in law enforcement.

    He called on officers, members of the PCRC and other stakeholders to remain committed to supporting initiatives that foster safer communities and improved police-community relations.

    According to a statement by the zonal Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Gunn Ewhobowho, the  engagement formed part of ongoing efforts to reinforce operational efficiency, promote stakeholder participation, and ensure the successful implementation of the Inspector-General’s directives.
